8-Days Ultimate Uganda Adventure – Wildlife, Gorillas & Waterfalls

Upon arrival at Entebbe International Airport, you’ll be welcomed by your guide and transferred to your hotel in Kampala. After check-in, enjoy a relaxed evening and a detailed briefing about your adventure ahead.

Depart Kampala early and head north toward Murchison Falls. En route, you’ll stop at Ziwa Rhino Sanctuary for a guided rhino tracking experience on foot — a rare chance to observe these magnificent creatures up close in a safe environment. After lunch, continue to Murchison Falls National Park and check in to your lodge for dinner and overnight.

Start your day with a morning game drive through the northern section of the park, home to elephants, lions, giraffes, buffalo, and antelope. In the afternoon, enjoy a boat safari on the Nile River up to the base of Murchison Falls, passing hippos, crocodiles, and colorful birdlife. This unique view from the water reveals the raw power of the falls from below.

After breakfast, you’ll hike to the top of Murchison Falls, where the Nile forces its way through a narrow gorge, thundering into the basin below. After this invigorating trek, begin a scenic drive southward through the Albertine Rift Valley toward Fort Portal, where you’ll rest for the night at a quiet lodge near Kibale Forest.

This morning, head into Kibale Forest for chimpanzee tracking. Walk under the forest canopy in search of troops of playful, noisy chimps in their natural habitat. After the trek, continue south through rural Uganda with views of crater lakes and farmlands as you make your way to Bwindi Impenetrable Forest. Arrive in the evening and settle into your lodge.

Today is the highlight of your trip — an unforgettable gorilla trekking experience in Bwindi. After a briefing by park rangers, you’ll enter the forest with a guide and track a gorilla family. Once found, you’ll spend up to one hour observing them up close — a humbling and emotional moment for many travelers. Return to the lodge for a well-earned rest or an optional community walk.

After breakfast, depart for Lake Bunyonyi, known for its serene beauty, dotted islands, and cool climate. Arrive around lunchtime and check into a peaceful lakefront lodge. Spend the afternoon canoeing, swimming, or just relaxing with views over the water. This is the perfect place to unwind after your trekking adventures.

Enjoy breakfast by the lake before beginning your return journey to Kampala or Entebbe. Lunch is along the way, and depending on your flight time, you will be dropped off at your hotel or at Entebbe International Airport for your departure
