Day 1: Arrival in Entebbe – Welcome to Uganda

Upon arrival at Entebbe International Airport, your guide will greet you and transfer you to your hotel in Kampala. Depending on your arrival time, visit the Uganda Museum, showcasing artifacts from over 50 ethnic groups, including musical instruments, traditional clothing, and ancient tools. In the evening, enjoy a traditional Ugandan dinner with live music or storytelling to set the tone for the cultural adventure ahead.

Day 2: Kampala City & Buganda Kingdom Experience

After breakfast, set out on a guided cultural tour of Kampala. Visit the Kabaka’s Palace, learning about the rich history of the Buganda Kingdom. Explore the Kasubi Tombs (a UNESCO World Heritage Site), where kings of Buganda are buried. Walk through local markets and craft centers where artisans make bark cloth, baskets, and beaded jewelry. End your day with a colorful traditional dance performance at Ndere Cultural Centre, featuring dances and music from Uganda’s many ethnic groups.

Day 3: Transfer to Jinja – Source of the Nile & Community Craft Workshop

Depart Kampala for Jinja (about 3 hours), a vibrant town known for culture and adventure. Take a boat ride to the Source of the Nile, where you’ll learn about the river’s spiritual significance and historical exploration. Visit a local women’s cooperative specializing in papyrus weaving and handmade jewelry. Try your hand at weaving a souvenir, then enjoy a traditional lunch with members of the cooperative, who will share stories about their culture and daily lives.

Day 4: Busoga Village Cultural Experience

Spend the full day in a rural Busoga village, where you’ll experience Uganda’s village life firsthand. Begin with a community welcome, then participate in local activities like food preparation using millet, groundnuts, and bananas. Join a storytelling session with elders and engage with local children through games and folk songs. After lunch, enjoy a dance and drumming circle — you’re welcome to join in! This day offers genuine human connection, insight into rural culture, and unforgettable memories.

Day 5: Return to Entebbe & Departure

After breakfast, start your journey back to Entebbe (approx. 3–4 hours). Along the way, stop at a roadside craft market to shop for last-minute souvenirs and interact with local artists. Your guide will drop you off at the airport for your international flight or at a hotel if you’re staying an extra night. Depart with a heart full of cultural insight, stories, and smiles from Uganda’s communities.
