Day 1: Transfer from Kampala to Bwindi Impenetrable Forest

Your journey begins early with a scenic drive from Kampala heading southwest toward Bwindi Impenetrable National Park. The route passes through rolling hills, roadside markets, and tea plantations, with a lunch stop en route in Mbarara. As you continue, the terrain becomes more mountainous and lush. Arrive in the late afternoon at your lodge, nestled on the edge of the forest. Enjoy dinner and a relaxed evening as you prepare for the next day’s trek.

Day 2: Gorilla Trekking in Bwindi Forest

After an early breakfast, head to the park headquarters for a briefing by park rangers before beginning your gorilla trek. Accompanied by a guide and trackers, you’ll hike through thick vegetation, guided by clues left by the gorillas. Once found, you’ll spend a magical hour observing a gorilla family in their natural habitat — a rare and powerful experience. Return to the lodge for lunch and rest. The afternoon is free for a community visit or simply relaxing with forest views.

Day 3: Transfer to Lake Bunyonyi & Canoeing Experience

After breakfast, depart for Lake Bunyonyi, known for its stunning views and dotted islands. Arrive around midday and check in at a lakeside eco-lodge. After lunch, enjoy a peaceful canoe ride on the lake, gliding between islands while learning local legends and history from your guide. End the day with a warm local meal and sunset over the water.

Day 4: Nature Walk & Batwa Community Visit

This morning, take a guided nature walk along Lake Bunyonyi’s trails, rich with birdlife and vibrant flora. Later, visit the Batwa community — indigenous forest dwellers — to learn about their traditional lifestyle, dance, and crafts. The experience is both educational and inspiring. In the afternoon, relax at the lodge or opt for swimming or kayaking before dinner.

Day 5: Return to Kampala or Entebbe

After breakfast, begin your drive back to Kampala or Entebbe, retracing your journey through the beautiful southwestern landscapes. Lunch will be along the way, and you’ll arrive in the late afternoon or early evening, marking the end of your unforgettable Uganda adventure.
