Itinerary

Day 1: Arrival in Entebbe & Transfer to Mabamba Wetland

Arrive at Entebbe International Airport, meet your guide, and head to Mabamba Wetland. Take a peaceful boat ride through papyrus swamps to spot the rare shoebill stork and other waterbirds. Learn about wetland conservation from local experts. Overnight at an eco-lodge near the wetland.

Day 2: Transfer to Kibale Forest National Park via Fort Portal

After breakfast, drive about 5 hours to Fort Portal. Visit the Amabere Caves, a culturally significant site with beautiful formations and local stories. Continue to Kibale Forest and check into your eco-lodge surrounded by lush greenery.

Day 3: Chimpanzee Trekking & Bigodi Wetland Sanctuary

Early morning chimpanzee trekking in Kibale Forest, guided by experts focused on responsible tourism. In the afternoon, visit Bigodi Wetland Sanctuary for birdwatching and a community walk highlighting local conservation initiatives. Return to the lodge for overnight.

Day 4: Transfer to Queen Elizabeth National Park via Kasese

Drive to Queen Elizabeth NP (about 3 hours) via Kasese town. Stop at a community project supporting sustainable farming and crafts. Check into your eco-friendly lodge inside the park. Optional evening game drive or relaxation.

Day 5: Morning Game Drive & Afternoon Boat Cruise on Kazinga Channel

Morning game drive exploring savannah plains and spotting elephants, buffalo, lions, and various antelopes. Afternoon boat cruise on the Kazinga Channel to see hippos, crocodiles, and birds. Evening at leisure in the lodge.

Day 6: Transfer to Lake Mburo National Park

After breakfast, drive 3 hours to Lake Mburo NP. Enjoy a walking safari in the afternoon, focusing on smaller wildlife and birdlife unique to the area. Overnight at a sustainable lodge.

Day 7: Morning Game Drive & Return to Entebbe

Take a final game drive in the morning, spotting zebras, impalas, and buffalo. After lunch, begin the drive back to Entebbe (approx. 4 hours) for your departure or overnight stay.
